I’m glad you talked about this because it’s something I asked you about in one of your previous podcast videos.

I’m currently at 450 hours of comprehensible input, and began with the Dreaming Spanish method. As I’ve learned more, I have come to realize that I don’t fully agree with the DS method, although the website has been an amazing resource for me. I think one thing I’m hoping happens by waiting a while is that my pronunciation/accent will be better, simply due to how much input I get before I begin speaking.

I plan to start speaking practice sometime between 500-600 hours, we’ll see. My italki professor and I do crosstalk sessions which have been super helpful, but I look forward to learning how to speak! My professor has been very supportive and is encouraging me to start speaking whenever I feel ready, so I’m glad to have that support with what feels like a big decision to me.
